Editorial Internships

Have a strong interest in helping families and children in need? Love writing and editing? Want to learn the ins and outs of editorial production? Benjamin House offers interns the opportunity to become a valuable part of our editorial team. Interns work with various departments within the magazine and are involved in many aspects of production, from fact-checking and researching articles to pitching stories. Administrative duties are also part of the internship; all interns may also assist all departments.

Editorial interns provide support to Benjamin House editorial staff.

Duties may include:

  • Research for potential stories
  • Providing support for editorial projects
  • Web production and social media
  • Copyediting, fact-checking and proofreading stories for the the blog.
    Pitching and writing pieces for ICare4Autism website

    Volunteer With Us

    Benjamin House Family and Children's services seeks individuals eager to be part of a friendly, professional team that can help with a wide range of administrative and business-oriented tasks.

    Tasks include but are not limited to

  • answering phones and taking messages;
  • filing correspondence in notebooks and file cabinets;
  • helping with occasional mailings;
  • helping with events.
  • Computer expertise is a plus, especially with Word, Excel, and other programs, including Google Suite and Airtable.
